Resolved - Exchange/CUIMC Email May Experience Connection Issues per Microsoft

Update: Microsoft has fully remediated the issue, email and Exchange are working as normal.


While we have not received many reports at CUIMC, Microsoft issued a service alert midday on Wednesday, March 9th, stating that Exchange mailboxes are experiencing a service degradation and that they are are working to fix any issues as quickly as possible.

CUIMC email accounts (those ending in @cumc.columbia.edu) use Microsoft Exchange as the email platform. There may be slowness or problems connecting to email due to this, particularly in Web Outlook though the Outlook client or other apps used for your email may experience issues as well. We apologize for any inconvenience and will update this Announcement with any developments.
