Funding Opportunities
CUIMC and AWS are partnering to accelerate research, AI innovation, and scientific discovery through cloud technology, technical expertise, training, and research enablement programs. Together, AWS and CUIMC support faculty, researchers, students, startups, and research initiatives with access to advanced computing resources, cloud best practices, secure research environments, and opportunities for collaboration.
As a part of AWS' collaboration with CUIMC, AWS may provide the following:
Promotional Credits (revised ServiceNow request form to come)
-
Faculty Support: AWS may provide AWS Promotional Credits to support faculty research and new faculty onboarding to CUIMC’s AWS Organization.

This can support a multi-year executive alignment, can be developed via regular campus visits via virtual and live meetings, and help to create a comprehensive ecosystem for advanced research at CUIMC.
Research:
-
Secure Research Portal (SRP) Creation: AWS is excited to support the success of CUIMC’s security and research teams’ development of a state-of-the-art secure research portal tailored to CUIMC’s sensitive research needs. AWS would be supportive of CUIMC building an environment where CUIMC researchers can access AWS Services through a secure portal that simplifies workflows while maintaining full auditability.
Programs
- AWS Activate: AWS Activate provides startups with resources, including credits, training, and support, to help them build and scale their businesses on the AWS cloud. Through AWS Activate, we may make available up to $100,000 in AWS Promotional Credits for eligible startups.
AWS Subject Matter Experts and Publications
- AWS Technical Teams: AWS may make available Solutions Architect personnel and subject matter experts (SMEs) to provide support on AWS architecture design.
