Towers 1 and 2 Wi-Fi Access Points Upgrade Completed, Tower 3 in Progress

As part of the Medical Grade Network (MGN) project, work to swap access points (APs) in Towers 1 and 2 has been completed.

AP swaps in Tower 3 began on July 27th and are being worked on from the top floor down. The work will occur on weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The contractor will perform work on the interior of the buildings in each of the apartments. Those in the apartments will receive a specific email alerting to when the contractor will be visiting your apartment. You do not need to be present during the access point upgrade. During the specific time period of your access point upgrade, you will experience a Wi-Fi outage.

Access points are devices that create a wireless local area network, or WLAN, usually in an office or large building. An access point connects to a wired router, switch, or hub via an Ethernet cable, and projects a Wi-Fi signal to a designated area.

If you have any questions about the schedule or general questions about what will transpire send an email to: Core-cumc@nyp.org.  For more information including continued updates on the MGN project please see:
