Urgent Security Patches for Mac, iOS; MobileIron Devices Will See Prompt to Update
A new vulnerability was identified and released on September 13th, 2021 for Apple devices. The security issue could allow malicious actors to compromise devices with just a simple iMessage, requiring no other user interaction.
If you have a CUIMC MobileIron corporate device, Information Security will be pushing an update command to all corporate owned devices. You will receive an alert on your device to update. Given the criticality of this update, please do not ignore or tap “Remind Me Later ” unless absolutely necessary. iOS 14.8 Installations should be completed anywhere between 7 to 20 Minutes. The command will be pushed out several times starting September 16th. Only devices that have not been updated to the new iOS 14.8 will continue to receive these alerts.
